Level 1 – This is a class is designed for beginner tumblers. Introductory to tumbling positions, drills, and movements such as tuck, straddle, bridge, handstand, forward & backward rolls, back extension roll, backbend, kick over, front limber, front & back walkovers, cartwheel, round off, a combination of 2 or more skills and skills performed with 1 arm, along with some strengthening and flexibility. A student will begin to develop a basic comprehension of a standing back handspring. Proper form and technique is stressed regardless of age and is required to move up in level. There are no pre-requisites for this class level. This class is offered to all children ages 5 to 18 years old.
Level 2 – As pre-requisites, a student must be able to perform level 1 skills properly with correct form themselves on the floor. This class is designed to help the student further develop and achieve their back walkover step together rebound, standing back handspring, back walkover back handspring, T jump back handspring, back handspring half turn, round-off back handspring and series back handsprings, front walkover round off back handspring, and a combination of 3 or more level 1 & 2 skills with good form. Positions and various drills are used to develop body awareness, strength, and proper tumbling form. This class is offered to all children ages 5 to 18 years old.
Level 3 – As pre-requisites, students must be able to perform level 1 & 2 tumbling skills by themselves with good form, especially a standing and round-off series back handsprings by themselves with good form. These level 2 skills with good form are imperative before working on level 3 skills for the proper progression, safety and performance of learning tucks for running tumbling. Students will begin to develop a basic comprehension of a standing back tuck. This class focuses on learning how to jump and set high, to use proper tuck form, to master a jump to standing back handsprings, multiple standing back handsprings, a punch front, an ariel, a round off tuck and round-off back handspring back tuck, and a combination of 3 or more level 1, 2 and 3 skills. This class is offered to all children ages 5 to 18 years old.
Level 4 – As pre-requisities, students must be able to perform level 3 skills, especially a round-off back handspring back tuck with correct form. This class focuses on the proper technique and strength necessary to execute a high, tight layout. This class also focuses on mastering the standing back tuck, standing multiple back handsprings to tuck/layout, whips, cartwheel tucks, punch front step outs and front handspring punch front. This class will also start to work on the basic twisting drills in junction with proper layout form. This class is offered to all children ages 5 to 18 years.
Level 5 – As pre-requisities, students must be able to perform level 4 skills, especially a layout and standing tuck, with good form and power. This class focuses on the elite level skills such as a double full, standing full, bounders, and combinations of 3 or more level 1-5 skills. This class is offered to children ages 10 to 18 years old.
